As instalações sempre estiveram no DNA criativo de Juca Máximo, pois o desafiam em múltiplas camadas: escala, presença, risco e interação. Mais do que objetos contemplativos, suas instalações são experiências que ocupam espaços físicos e emocionais, ativando quem as atravessa.
Combinações entre escultura, pintura, arquitetura, iluminação e matérias brutas se transformam em obras que envolvem o público em tempo real. São criações que saem da moldura e invadem o ambiente — rompendo os limites entre obra e espectador, arte e arquitetura, gesto e estrutura.
Algumas instalações tornaram-se marcos em sua trajetória criativa.
“Light”, por exemplo, transforma chapas de corian em um corpo que pulsa luz e sombra — uma obra translúcida que responde à presença e à luz do ambiente.
“Absence Yourself” apresenta molduras monumentais de 2,75 x 1,65 metros com 250 kg, convidando o público a buscar, dentro de si, quem realmente são.
“Touch”, com seus 5 x 2 metros, tensiona uma tela sobre vidro e cria, através da pintura e da luz, uma reflexão visual sobre a conexão humana com o divino.
“Duality”, exibida na Bienal de Veneza, foi sua primeira instalação de caráter arquitetônico — uma divisória pintada à mão, que dividia e unia dois mundos em um mesmo espaço.
Outras, como as da série Connection, ganham vida monumental em intervenções como a da CasaCor, onde figuras humanas atravessam colunas e paredes — criando uma ponte entre o gesto e a arquitetura.
Em sua essência, cada instalação é um território de sentimento expandido.
Installations have always been part of Juca Máximo’s creative DNA, as they challenge him across multiple layers: scale, presence, risk, and interaction. More than contemplative objects, his installations are immersive experiences that occupy both physical and emotional spaces, activating those who encounter them.
Combinations of sculpture, painting, architecture, lighting, and raw materials become works that engage the audience in real time. These creations break free from the frame and invade the environment — dissolving boundaries between artwork and viewer, art and architecture, gesture and structure.
Several installations have become landmarks in his creative journey.
“Light” transforms Corian sheets into a body that pulses light and shadow — a translucent work that responds to presence and ambient light.
“Absence Yourself” presents monumental 2.75 x 1.65 meter frames weighing 250 kg, inviting the viewer to search within themselves for who they truly are.
“Touch”, measuring 5 x 2 meters, tensioned over glass, creates — through painting and light — a visual reflection on the human connection with the divine.
“Duality”, exhibited at the Venice Biennale, was his first architectural-scale installation — a hand-painted divider that both separated and united two worlds within the same space.
Others, like those from the Connection series, come to monumental life in interventions such as at CasaCor, where human figures pierce walls and columns — forming a bridge between gesture and architecture.
At their core, each installation is a territory of expanded emotion.

《Absence Yourself》 展出2.75米 x 1.65米、高达250公斤的巨大画框，邀请观众向内探寻真实的自我。
《Touch》 以5米 x 2米的尺寸，将画布绷紧于玻璃之上，通过绘画与光的交融，展现人与神性之间的连接。
