The Invisible anatomy of emotion

Parallel Season Art Basel Paris 2025

Juca Maximo Solo Digital Show

Curation and artworks selection by Giulia Falcone (Art Expert and Curator)

There is a moment when matter surrenders to thought, and thought becomes rhythm. In the works of award-winning artist Juca Máximo, painting is that meeting point — an emotional map traced through signs, layers, and vibrations, where gesture becomes language and form breathes like a living organism.

“The Invisible Anatomy of Emotion” is a solo exhibition that deepens the relationship between absence and energy, within shadow and vital momentum. Máximo’s figures oscillate like waves: absence holds back, energy releases. In this continuous motion, psychology turns into a sensitive architecture, and the body reveals itself as a landscape of the soul.

In dialogue with Art Basel Paris, the exhibition reveals emotional matter as a field of connection — a network of invisible forces running through every being. Shadow becomes the memory of what is missing; the void, the distance between what we are and what we long to complete. Energy manifests as a vital force crossing that silence, restoring movement and presence. Within this atmosphere resonates Nietzsche’s Amor Fati: accepting destiny as a creative act, turning lack into impulse.

Máximo’s canvas is where energy crosses the void, turning what is missing into motion, and silence into memory.
