Sketches

“Antes da matéria, existe o gesto.”

“Before matter, there is gesture.”

Before sculpture, painting, or design, there is the free stroke — raw, emotional, almost unconscious.
These drawings are not ordinary studies. They are maps of what has yet to take form, raw records of what pulses before it is thought. Each line, each ink stain is an urgent attempt to capture what cannot yet be said in words — but which the body insists on expressing.

They are the first contact with the soul of the work. They precede iron sculptures, monumental partitions, large-scale installations, and gestural paintings.

Consectetur Adipiscing

These are sketches that breathe. That twist, scream and fall silent. Here, expressiveness is not contained — it expands on the paper like a breath of truth.

eu preciso desenhar para mim.”
