Absence in Construction
This installation is built through decisions.
Iron is cut, arranged and welded not to form a closed volume, but to sustain what is not there. Each present element carries the weight of what has been removed. The structure emerges from subtraction.
The work unfolds at the edge between control and physical strain. The body adapts to the resistance of the material, while the gesture repeats until it finds rhythm. Sound, heat and weight are part of the work’s language.
Absence does not assert itself through form, but through interval. Through the voids that organize matter, through pauses that give structure meaning. What is visible is a consequence of what was left behind.
In the studio, the process does not seek finish. It seeks precision.
Removing is as important as building.

Esta instalação é construída a partir de decisões.
O ferro é cortado, organizado e soldado não para formar um volume fechado, mas para sustentar o que não está ali. Cada elemento presente carrega o peso do que foi removido. A estrutura nasce da subtração.
O trabalho acontece no limite entre controle e desgaste físico. O corpo se ajusta à resistência do material, enquanto o gesto se repete até encontrar ritmo. O som, o calor e o peso fazem parte da linguagem da obra.
Absence não se afirma pela forma, mas pelo intervalo. Pelos vazios que organizam a matéria, pelas pausas que dão sentido à estrutura. O que se vê é consequência do que foi deixado para trás.
No estúdio, o processo não busca acabamento. Busca precisão.
Retirar é tão importante quanto construir.
